Dillinger Four - Civil War - LP
"Civil War," the fourth album by Dillinger Four, emerged on October 14, 2008, after a series of delays and an early leak stirred anticipation and controversy. Originally slated for a 2006 release, the Minneapolis punk band's project faced postponements due to personal commitments and a deliberate recording pace, culminating in a final push influenced by an upcoming tour with NOFX. Recorded at The Terrarium in Minneapolis with producer Dave Gardener, this Fat Wreck Chords release marked a significant evolution in the band's sound. Described by guitarist Erik Funk as slicker, heavier, and more melodic, "Civil War" reflects the culmination of a fresh yet mature punk rock endeavor, shaped by the band's resilience and adaptability amidst unforeseen setbacks.
