"Caesar Salad Days" marks the eleventh stellar album from ADOLESCENTS, capturing a unique moment in time as a pre-pandemic creation shaped during the pandemic itself. Crafted from songs penned prior to the global health crisis, the album came to life in May of 2022, serving as a bridge between eras.
This collection revisits and revitalizes tracks spanning an impressive 35 years, offering a sampler that delves into our rich musical legacy. From 1980 to 2018, these songs have stood the test of time, now reimagined for a new generation and longtime fans alike.
Faced with financial challenges and a hiatus from live shows, I turned to online auction platforms, selling a myriad of items to fund our creative endeavor. This endeavor not only proved successful but also deeply satisfying, marking a personal triumph amid uncertain times.
With the necessary funds secured, I presented the recording proposal to the band. The pandemic, despite its challenges, had fostered a newfound appreciation for collaboration, making our reunion all the more meaningful. Unanimously, we decided to forge ahead, creating an album that encapsulates a selection of songs integral to our recent live sets—a straightforward, heartfelt run through the music that has defined us.
