Bad Religion - Suffer - LP
"Suffer," the third album by American punk rock band Bad Religion, was released on September 8, 1988, by the Californian independent record label Epitaph Records, marking the label's first full release and distribution effort. Following a temporary hiatus and the 1985 EP "Back to the Known," the band reunited with its original lineup, minus drummer Jay Ziskrout, to produce their first full-length studio album in five years. Though "Suffer" didn't make it onto the Billboard 200, it's heralded by many as a pivotal punk rock album, influencing a wave of third-generation punk bands. NOFX's Fat Mike notably hailed it as "the record that changed everything." Tracks like "You Are (The Government)," "1000 More Fools," and "Do What You Want" became fan favorites and live show staples. Notably, "Part IV (The Index Fossil)" was performed live for the first time in 2018 at the Troubadour in West Hollywood, showcasing the album's enduring legacy in the punk rock scene.
