"Self Entitled," NOFX's twelfth studio effort, landed on September 11, 2012, through Fat Wreck Chords, following a meticulous year-long development. Vocalist and bassist Fat Mike hinted at an exploratory phase for new material after "Coaster," revealing a broad range of influences, from Iron Maiden to Tegan and Sara, that fueled the band's creative process. By 2012, with producer Bill Stevenson, NOFX embarked on recording, wrapping up within two and a half weeks. Despite recording 18 tracks, only a dozen made it to the final cut, underscoring the band's selective approach. Released internationally a day prior to its U.S. debut, "Self Entitled" represents NOFX's ongoing commitment to evolving their punk rock sound, balancing introspection with their trademark energy and humor.
